The initial request and consultation should be arranged with the doctor in normal surgery time. Follow up appointments, checks and requests for repeat prescriptions take place at the family planning clinic held by one of the practice nurses.
The practice provides contraceptive services including the cap and IUCD (coil) fitting. Comprehensive confidential advice is available during surgery hours. Please request an appointment with your doctor or a nurse to discuss contraception. Emergency contraception is prescribed when appropriate. You need to seek advice within 72 hours.
You can complete a pill check review on the surgery pod in the main surgery waiting room anytime during open hours and this will be reviewed by a practice nurse.
